Is my data private?

Nothing leaves your device. No server, no database, no analytics — only your browser talks to Google, under your account.

Why do I need my own Google API key?

Maps URLs hide the Place ID — only Google's Places API resolves it. Bring-your-own keeps the page free and your quota yours.

How much does the Google API cost?

Per-request, billed by Google to your account. First 10,000 lookups/month are free — most users pay nothing. We never see your bill.

Can I use it without an API key?

Yes — you get a Fallback link that usually opens the business, but it won't reliably pop the review form. URLs that already contain ChIJ… work officially, key or not.

Why don't short links (maps.app.goo.gl) work?

Browsers block pages from following other sites' redirects. Open the short link, then copy the full URL from the address bar.

Where is my API key stored?

In your browser's local storage, on your device only. Empty the field and hit Save to wipe it.

Is this affiliated with Google?

No. This is an independent tool. Google, Google Maps and Google Places are trademarks of Google LLC. Your use of Google's APIs is governed by Google's own terms of service.
